When you travel to the Golden State, it's common to drive down a road and see diverse home styles. The price varies between house styles, as some are more complex to build. The range for each style is also substantial because the material choice, location within the state, and home layout all impact the price per square foot. Additionally, whether the home is modular or stick-built also influences the final cost. Expect to pay $8,050 on average for a standard California landscaping installation project, or anywhere between $600 and $31,000. You'll want your new home to catch some eyes after it's all built, so you shouldn't leave landscaping out of the final cost.

But this will depend on the number of bathrooms, appliances, and any other water or sewage-running pipes you need. Expect to pay around $180 per hour to rough-in electrical at a new California house. Most rough-ins are complete within three to seven business days but may take longer depending on the size of the home, the number of stories, and add-ons such as pools and speaker systems. Framing builds the home's internal structure before any walls, wires, or pipes go up. It'll cost anywhere from $2,120 to $8,650, but fluctuating lumber prices could drive this number higher.

For example, a 1/2 acre lot can range from $50,000 to up to $1 million in some regions of the state. Where you build and how much land you buy significantly impact your home price. Where that land is located influences the price of the materials and labor for the build, too. You'll need to consider several factors beyond your typical construction costs. You need land for the property, and California has some of the most expensive land values.

These start from $38, can be based on paper blueprints, printed to scale, and are delivered the next working day. If you’re working on a budget, you’ll be glad to know that there are great free floor plan programs with a wide range of powerful tools. So, in this guide, we review the best free floor plan design software to help you get started. Start your project by uploading your existing floor plan in the floor plan creator app or by inputting your measurements manually. You can also choose one of our existing layouts and temples and modify them to your needs. Build walls, add doors, windows and openings, then set your dimensions.

Circular homes can also be created by combining interior living with outside space, for example, using a deck to complete the circle. This split level home has a ground floor garage and a small set of steps leading up to the main entrance. The central foyer has stairs leading down to the garage and a finish ‘basement’ space. The ‘basement’ space holds two private bedrooms a bathroom and a rec room. It is located above ground level for plenty of natural light and sliding doors in the back open onto a large backyard. A small set of steps leading up from the foyer goes to the main living space to one side with vaulted ceilings, and a grand master suite on the other side of the central foyer.

The layout of the park demonstrates a thoughtful integration of natural elements within the built environment, seamlessly blending walking paths, sitting areas, and plantings. The design of the High Line maintains much of the original railway infrastructure, creating a juxtaposition of old and new that lends to its unique charm. In this section, we’ll explore three building layouts that have been lauded for their successful design.

Discovering the 1 3 Generator: A Comprehensive Guide

1/3 profile human design

These periods provide the space and time needed for reflection and introspection. As a 1/3 Projector, you have a unique set of traits and skills that are valuable and worth celebrating. Living authentically involves aligning your actions with your purpose. If something doesn’t align with your purpose, it’s okay to let it go. Finally, celebrate the transformations you facilitate.

An Intro to Human Design Unpacking the Profiles 1/3 Investigator/Martyr

As a 1/3 you need to activate both parts of your profile to see it work as a whole. Don’t be afraid to get out there and use your Line 3 energy to figure out what works (and what doesn’t work!) in order to move forward. The very thing that is going to ‘uphold’ the experimental phase. Taking the time to learn what you need to learn before moving into the ‘trial and error’ part. From the outside looking in, it may appear that you’re ‘taking too long’ to make a move. Your alone time and need to learn, plan and feel ready is absolutely necessary.

Line 1: The Investigator

This unique combination of traits can offer valuable insights into your strengths, challenges, and personal growth opportunities. Before we go any further, it is very important to state that there are so many factors in our individual charts that can see the 'generalisations' of Human Design types/profiles/authority change. Not everything we read/learn/hear about our particular charts will always resonate. Our charts don't take into account our life experiences, so there is no way anyone could possibly determine exactly who you are and what makes you tick simply by looking at your chart.

A few tips for 1/3 Human Design Projectors:

There is one Myers-Briggs personality type that stands out as being highly comparable. A significant trait of Reflectors is their difficulty in truly knowing their true nature and authentic self. This is a direct result of always mirroring those around them who they admire, and this is important in the context of the Investigator Martyr profile. It is energetically correct for Projectors – and especially 1/3 Projectors – to need alone time on their journey of self-discovery. It is energetically correct for 1/3 Projectors to need alone time on their journey of self-discovery.

For example, 1/3’s may be driven to deep dive into the pros and cons of making a big purchase, checking out and comparing a product’s features, and devouring every review they can lay their hands on. Likewise if they’re looking for a good restaurant to visit.

Aligning with Your Purpose as a 1/3 Projector

Second, remember that being a catalyst for transformation often means helping others navigate change. Use your understanding and wisdom to guide and support others. The ‘3’ in your 1/3 Projector profile indicates a life characterized by learning from trial and error. Fourth, your investigative nature may sometimes lead to feelings of isolation or being misunderstood.

Aura Type in Profile 1/3

1/3 profile human design

Being a 1/3 Projector in Human Design means you have an extraordinary and distinctive role in life. Let’s dive deeper into the interpretations of this profile. Consistent routines provide a sense of security and stability. They can help you manage your energy and establish a rhythm that suits your Generator nature. Your experiences can offer guidance and support to those who are navigating similar situations.

Leveraging Your Sacral Energy

It’s so important to know that the Line 1 investigator in you is truly only half of your process. Your 3rd line energy is itching to TRY things out and ‘get its hands dirty’ so to speak. I’m here to learn and be kind to myself through experiencing the ups and the downs. I've learned to be open to all outcomes and take everything as a growth opportunity. To not get down on myself when things don’t “work out”. I’ve never been a hesitant person, ready to roll with the punches but younger me would get hung up on an experience when it didn’t work out so well.

1/3 profile human design

Let's add in the Projector essence into the 1/3 profile:

In professional settings, the 1/3 profile thrives in environments that value intellect, innovation, and a willingness to embrace change. These individuals are driven by a passion for knowledge and understanding, using their analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to drive progress and innovation in their chosen fields. They are not deterred by setbacks or challenges, understanding that failure is often a necessary step on the path to success. The third line represents trial and error, experimentation, and a willingness to learn through experience. People with this line are not afraid to make mistakes or encounter setbacks because they understand that failure is an essential part of the learning process.

At the core of Human Design are nine centres, each representing different aspects of human experiences, such as emotions, communication, intuition, and identity. Within these centres are channels and gates, which further refine a person's design. Finally, use your trial and error learning to help others. Your experiences can provide valuable insights and guidance to those navigating similar paths. Lastly, your investigative nature is a powerful tool for personal growth and development. Embrace it, and let it guide you on your journey to self-discovery.

However, it’s crucial for them to remember the importance of patience and not rushing the investigative process. Their desire for security in relationships should be balanced with the natural unfolding of getting to know their partner. Interactions with other profiles can also be a source of learning and understanding. For example, interacting with a 2/4 Profile may bring about a dance of depth and openness, while a relationship with a 5/1 Profile could teach the 1/3 Profile about the balance of depth and universality.

Just another reason to clear out your aura and energy field each day. It is not there to punish us, it is there to show us where we have space to grow. It may or may not involve experiences with other people. If it does involve other people, it is of no coincidence that the people in your life right now are there for a reason. Lighting yourself up by being with your community (in a way that feels good for you) for periods of time before retreating away to break down the 'how and why' of things you are curious to learn more about.

We’re not the rarest Type within Human Design, but we’re susceptible to being the most conditioned. Whether you just found out you are a Human Design Projector with a 1/3 profile, or you’ve known this for years, this blog is going to go through the ins and outs of it all. Ann Smyth is a Human Design Life & Leadership Coach for those looking to fall back in love with their lives. The combination of Line 1 and Line 3 in the 1/3 Profile creates a dynamic and resourceful individual who is dedicated to uniquely establishing knowledge and truth. As a 1/3 Projector, waiting for the invitation can be a powerful practice for decision-making and relationships.

Sometimes such a Personality, being in the process of excavation, does not notice the action of the Body. Still, because 1/3 is the most self-immersed, self-centered Profile. That is, the Body of the 3rd Line has already entered into some kind of experience, heaped up things, and the 1st Line of Personality sometimes only needs to observe the results. Lastly, view solitude as an opportunity to reconnect with yourself. It’s a time to nourish your spirit, recharge your energy, and realign with your purpose. Third, build regular periods of solitude into your routine.

Fourthly, allocate time to reflect on your experiences. Reflection turns your trials and errors into valuable lessons and insights. This natural inclination is a strength, propelling you towards in-depth understanding and expertise. Your investigative nature is a key part of your 1/3 Generator profile. Furthermore, the 1/3 Profile can benefit from channeling their depth of knowledge and experience into areas that truly resonate with them.

Conversely, 1/3s DO👏 NOT👏 like being pressed to weigh in on a topic they haven’t studied, ESPECIALLY if they have either their Head or Mind Center open, or both! With my combo of open Head, Mind AND Throat Centers, I totally feel this way. Put together the aspects of the 1-3 profile provide us with experts on how to do things and more importantly how not too! You might hear a 1-3 say “Oh don’t do that, I tried that and it was a disaster. Do it this way instead.” We should all be grateful for the work the 1-3’s have done to make our life better. Understanding and embracing your unique role as a 1/3 Generator is key to living in alignment with your true self.

The best time for River Thames cruises is March to October. Summer months are warmest, but with Britain's notoriously changeable weather, warm, sunny days are not guaranteed. Spring, too, is a beautiful time of year, with London's exquiste cherry blossom season from late March to early May. The massive Battersea Power Station, with its four towers, is being redeveloped for housing and shops. Starting from Westminster Pier, one of the first sights to look out for is the Palace of Westminster, usually called the Houses of Parliament. Other notable buildings in the area are the Thames House, home of MI5, by the Lambeth Bridge, and the MI6 building before the Vauxhall Bridge. Unlike other sights you can see from the water, the Thames Barrier is in the water. Downstream from Greenwich, the barrier was completed in 1982 to protect London from flooding.

By land and by sea, you can uncover a treasure trove of exhibits on the Red Rover Cruise. Enjoy stunning vistas from the Thames, and easily hop off to explore London's most beloved sites. We provide a free live or recorded commentary in English on each Sightseeing cruise.

Anchored by St. Paul’s Cathedral, this marks the site of the city’s original Roman settlement and has since been transformed into a modern business district. Keep your eyes peeled for the Gherkin, London’s famous pickle-shaped skyscraper. Marking the end of the City of London is the iconic Tower Bridge and the imposing Tower of London. With the round-trip ticket, you’ll need to change boats at Westminster Pier for the return trip. Praise whichever brilliant mind decided to paint the scant remaining WW2 landing vehicles in bright, rubber-duck yellow!

The ship also offers themed cruises, with a specific itinerary that includes a visit to Highclere Castle, setting for the television series "Downton Abbey." Turk Launches is one of the oldest companies you’re likely to come across in London. This family-run company has been in the riverboats scene for over 300 years. Their rides last 40 minutes and take you to explore the stunning stretch of the river Thames.

Valerie fell in love with London on her first trip to the city way back in 2011. Since then, she spent a year living in London and visits as often as she can (you can find her recent trip recaps here!). She launched LOMM in 2021 to help other travelers fall in love with her favorite city on earth.

With so many options on where to go, it can be hard to decide. Head to our blog to see our recommendations on places to explore along the Thames. Select a cruise for your group and get 15% off your tickets when check out. Return TicketWith a return ticket you can go one way, take in some of the sights around the pier and then take the same route back. Hi, my name is Valerie, and I fell in love with London on my first trip to the city way back in 2011.

These days the Thames Clippers are better known as ‘Uber Boats’, not because they’re the most incredible boats but because, you guessed it, they’re sponsored by a taxi company. Sure, they don’t go very fast (trundling along at a very leisurely 30mph), but they’re a pretty underrated, cost-effective way to traverse the Thames. Alternatively, for more of a London river cruise, look to those lines that call in the capital.

This is an amazing work of engineering and construction. Woolwich isn’t high on most tourists’ agendas, but if you like history, I would recommend the Royal Arsenal area. This was, for centuries, a key military establishment, housing the Royal Dockyard, the Royal Arsenal, the Royal Military Academy, and more. The broad River Thames enters from the west and curves its way through the metropolis to the North Sea.

Plus the views, from Hampton Court down to the City and Greenwich, are some of the absolute finest our city has to offer. As you can tell, there are plenty of options for exploring London by way of the River Thames. Have any questions about these various Thames river cruises?

And plenty of London’s top attractions are best seen from the water – so get your camera ready. Magna Carta offers a standard six-night cruise from Hampton Court Palace in west London to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, and the reverse on alternate weeks. The itinerary's (and the ship's) pace is relaxed, and itineraries are flexible and subject to change.

Your cruise guide to 1200 cruise ports

Having to change currency multiple times as ships head from port to port would be a major hassle. Luckily, ports of call in North America all widely accept U.S. dollars. There’s no need to change over money, but you should know that if you pay in dollars you might get change back in a different currency. First, once the ship docks in port, expect it to take about 30 minutes for the ship to be cleared by the authorities to let passengers off. At that point there will be an announcement that you are free to go ashore. For trips to the Caribbean (which make up the bulk of cruises from the United States), most things to do revolve around eating, shopping, and the beach.

Cruise Port Guides By Region

These spots cater to cruise passengers, which means making them comfortable. One nice thing is that cruise excursions offer a wide variety of options and purposely have options that are good for families or people with mobility issues. So if you want to go on an adventure sailing a catamaran or scuba diving, you can. The cruise line will also offer excursions that you can book that will give you a chance to do things you wouldn’t be able to back home.

Miami Cruise Port

Ships normally arrive first things in the morning (7-8 a.m.) and then leave in the late afternoon or early evening (4-6 p.m.). As well, passengers normally aren’t let off right when the ship docks and they also need to be onboard before the ship departs. Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Disney and Norwegian all sail from Galveston to the Eastern and Western Caribbean and Bahamas on itineraries ranging from four to seven nights. Situated in Florida's extreme northeast, Florida's official largest city, Jacksonville, offers cruisers an interesting mix of attractions with historical sites, nature preserves and 22 miles of beaches. Homeport cruising also allows travelers to easily take advantage of last minute cruise deals making quick getaways easy and convenient. Cruise destinations for homeport cruises include the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada and New England, Mexico, Alaska and more.

But Old San Pedro is worth exploring, where you'll find plenty of shops and restaurants as well as historic landmarks and museums. Port Canaveral is 50 miles east of Orlando on Florida's Space Coast, not in Orlando as is often billed on cruise itineraries. All points across The Bahamas and Caribbean are PortMiami's most obvious destinations, but transatlantic voyages are also common, as are voyages up the eastern seaboard to Canada plus Panama Canal crossings. With more than 300 miles of Intracoastal Waterway and navigable inland canals, Fort Lauderdale has earned the nickname Venice of America. The city's Port Everglades puts attractions close at hand for those looking to do a little exploring before or after their cruise. If you’re from the Baltimore area and ready for a cruise nearby, you can take a warm tropical vacation within easy driving distance.

For instance, we’ve seen a bottle of cold medicine for more than $17. In the middle of the ocean, there is cell service, but it is expensive to access. In port your phone will work, but keep in mind that you will be accessing via international towers, which can be pricey. If traveling Europe, you’ll want euros as the most convenient way to spend money. While many ports have Spanish as the local language, English is widely spoken in all ports of call.

Located on San Pedro Bay, roughly 25 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, the Port of Los Angeles is the largest cruise ship terminal on the West Coast of the United States. Sandwiched between the gargantuan ports of Cape Canaveral to the north and Port Everglades and PortMiami to the south, the Port of Palm Beach is quite modest. But its proximity to the Bahamas has made it a convenient launching point for exploring the archipelago. Some of the city's most emblematic attractions are within an easy walk, including the Place Royale, the Museum of Civilization, the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac, the Petit Champlain district or the Citadelle de Quebec.

The next private island destination is Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's oasis in The Bahamas. Here you'll port within short distance of pristine beaches, a thrilling water park and countless ways to unwind beneath the palm trees. There's also a stop in Bermuda, home to pink-sand beaches and rum swizzles. So when you get off the ship, everyone there with you will be a passenger from your ship.

Is A Disney Cruise Concierge Level Worth its Price? Luxe Recess Answers

disney cruise concierge room

On Disney Cruise Line, first-time cruisers can make those bookings starting 75 days before sailing. That sounds like plenty of time, but unfortunately, those who have sailed with Disney before can make the bookings 90 to 120 days before setting sail, depending on their Castaway Club status. If you are considering a European or Alaskan adventure, or short stay at the Disney theme parks before your cruise, Luxe Recess can plan everything as we are the luxury Disney experts. We can book all cruises, park tours, hotels, and transfers, so you can focus on getting excited for your vacation! We can help ensure Disney is the best line for your family or if an ultra luxe line is better. If you can find a cruise where the cost of Concierge Disney Cruise isn’t too much more expensive and you can justify it in your mind I’d recommend giving it a try.

thoughts on “Is the Disney Cruise Concierge Level Worth the Price?”

This is where you will find the kind, knowledgeable, personal and gracious team of four concierge hosts. It's also where you can enjoy small plates of snacks throughout the day; access a fridge full of complimentary juice, water and soda; and visit the included bar in the evenings from 5 to 10 p.m. However, it can easily cost more than double that price to sail in a concierge room during peak holiday dates, when the price of the suites quickly crosses the $10,000 mark for a family.

A concierge room is worth it for my family, but we'd have a good time on any Disney cruise regardless.

Yes, all guests staying in a Concierge stateroom gets access to complimentary bottled sodas, water, juice, and coffee in the Concierge Lounge or sundeck. Plus, I enjoy the 3 and 4 night cruises because you don’t necessarily have to get off the boat at Nassau, but instead you can use all the Concierge amenities as well as the main pools and slides with less crowds on the ship. As a concierge guest, you’ll receive a gold Key to the World card as opposed to the standard light blue other guests will be wearing. Also, when searching for a stateroom on the Wish specifically, you’ll find cheaper staterooms when you book for the upcoming year.

We stuck to a budget when we booked our cruise for May.

This may influence which products we review and write about (and where those products appear on the site), but it in no way affects our recommendations or advice, which are grounded in thousands of hours of research. Our partners cannot pay us to guarantee favorable reviews of their products or services. If you stay in a Concierge stateroom with a dining table, you have the option of having dinner delivered to your stateroom from the main dining room. Concierge guests (and Pearl/Platinum Castaway Club members) can book a Cabana at Castaway Cay before anyone else. Other guests often have no chance to reserve a cabana before they are all booked.

The Disney Cruise Line concierge benefits elevate the cruising experience to a realm of extraordinary comfort and exclusivity. Guests indulging in this premium service enjoy a suite of privileges designed to make their voyage truly magical. The most “worth it” perk of spending the extra cash to cruise in Concierge status is the priority boarding and disembarkation. The second biggest perk is the extended booking window for onboard and offshore excursions.

The Concierge Lounge & Sundeck

The Concierge Lounge is for those guests staying in our Concierge Staterooms and is also home to an exclusive Sundeck with hot tubs, lounger chairs & wading pool. My family has never been disappointed in our experience or regretted spending the extra money on the vacation. Our concierge-class cabin came with access to a special lounge throughout the cruise. We also had a concierge team of three dedicated employees who checked on us throughout the cruise and handled things like chasing down our lost luggage or changing a brunch reservation. We spent almost no extra money on board and enjoyed a free day of fun at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas. The addition of these 11 staterooms will increase the total number of concierge staterooms on the Disney Magic to 44.

Amidst the grandeur of Disney Cruise Line’s offerings lies a hidden treasure – the Disney Cruise Concierge Level. This exclusive tier of luxury beckons to the elite few, those seeking an unparalleled journey that transcends the boundaries of traditional cruising. Like a coveted invitation to a fairy tale ball, the Concierge Level extends its gracious hand to those yearning for an extraordinary escape from the everyday. No, your membership will not add any additional Concierge-only perks or benefits.

The couch converts into a bed, and there’s an additional bed housed in the ceiling. The stateroom attendant will convert the couch into a bed and handle the pull-down bed during nightly turndown service. Although the quarters are pretty close, this setup does well for a family of four, with the kids sleeping on the bunk beds and the parents sleeping on the queen bed. If you want to see the water from your stateroom, Oceanview is the stateroom for you.

Concierge Room Service

The big difference between standard and deluxe is that the deluxe has a split bathroom. The split bathroom means a toilet and vanity separate from the shower and second sink. It’s a great feature and allows someone to be in the shower without holding someone up if they need to use the toilet. The extra square footage in the deluxe – about 50 feet – is all the split bathroom. Be sure to speak with a Disney World Travel Agent for the most recent deals and promotions.

It’s certainly a step up from the thin coffee available on deck but seemed to pour mediocre milk-based espresso drinks. The same brand of machine is used at luxury hotel lounges, but its quality varies. The One-Bedroom Concierge Suite is twice the size of a standard stateroom. We could enjoy our time in the room with our two boys without climbing over each other.

That worked better for me at the time with younger kids, but I can see how Wish's arrangement may be ideal for those with older kids. Whatever you do, make sure you don't miss the evening happy hours in the lounge. You can get wine, beer, mixed drinks, cocktails and basically anything you can dream up at no extra charge to enjoy there or elsewhere on the ship.

The smaller or obstructed view verandahs will be priced lower than categories 4 and 5. The differences are very minor, so if you have an opportunity to save or your selection of verandah rooms is limited, consider how much time you’ll spend on the verandah and decide from there. Kurt is a former Disneyland Cast Member and seasoned explorer and is your trusted guide to the world of theme park travel. If he isn’t found trying the newest treats in Disneyland, Kurt enjoys relaxing at home with his dog Sam and playing video games with friends in his free time.

Unlike the other 4 ships, the Disney Wish concierge lounge also has a real lunch menu where you can order food and they’ll serve you at your seat/table. It’s a really nice touch if you don’t want to go out to deck 11 and grab something to eat. In summary, choosing a concierge-level room on a Disney cruise comes with many benefits, making your trip extra special and relaxing. It’s perfect for those who value luxury, convenience, and exclusive experiences. Prepare to be treated to a host of special amenities designed to enhance your vacation.

I prefer concierge – because of course I do – but our budget doesn’t allow us to drop that kind of money every time we go on a cruise. I’ve found something to love about all the Disney Cruise Line staterooms we’ve stayed in, so let’s take a dive into the different room types. Your concierge experience is marked by special dining arrangements that provide a unique atmosphere distinct from the main dining areas. Enjoy private meals in select spots on the ship, themed dinners, and the chance to experience a chef’s table where every dish is a work of art, courtesy of the ship’s culinary team. The personalized attention to your dining room seating and service is a testament to the luxurious and intimate dining encounters reserved for concierge guests. Concierge-level guests receive priority booking for shore excursions, allowing them to secure their top choices before others.

Woodward Dream Cruise 2003: Mega gallery of muscle cars, off-roaders and more

2023 woodward dream cruise

The Woodward Dream Cruise is one of the largest car events in the world, featuring classic cars, muscle cars, and hot rods from all over the United States. The Detroit Woodward Dream Cruise is the mothership of all car events. It's a celebration of Woodward Ave and car enthusiasm in the heart of the Motor City. I mean seriously, this incredible car cruise draws thousands of classic cars, muscle cars, trucks (and lots of crazy stuff) to thunder down Woodward Avenue between Pontiac and Ferndale. The cruise is one of the world's largest automotive events, drawing millions of people and 40,000 classic cars each year.

Cruising down memory lane, owners share family connections with classic cars

Today, the cruise takes over metro Detroit's most famous road as people flock to see classics, oddities and more. In addition, the event website shared a Facebook account where the community shares more information about where visitors can find parking and other events. There are food trucks and vendors lining Woodward avenue in the more populated areas, especially Royal Oak and Ferndale. There are also lots of great restaurants along Woodward Avenue.

M1 Concourse Events During the Woodward Dream Cruise

Despite road construction in the area during the summer, the event will not be affected. Experience Race Speed Track Experience (RSTEs) where you can can take a lap with a professional driver on the M1 Concourse Circuit. The Woodward Dream Parade is an escorted parade of 200 invited cars that will be cruising on Woodward Avenue and in downtown Pontiac.

Electric vehicles spark interest ahead of the 2022 Woodward Dream Cruise

The bus is $2 per person to ride and is good for four hours. Participation in the event as a driver or spectator is free of charge. However, non-classic car drivers are requested to avoid the two right lanes closest to the curb. "Collaborating with the Woodward Dream Cruise is very important to Ford Motor Company because we strive to contribute and give back in meaningful ways to the communities where we live, work... and cruise." There are lots of porta johns along Woodward Ave in the more populated areas. Memorial Park in Royal Oak has a large bank of porta johns for the classic car show.

Because of the parade’s central route on Woodward, many of the communities that the parade passes through will also be holding their own events in addition to the parade. While the entire parade runs for 12 hours, guests can come and go on their own time. We recommend bringing law chairs, sunblock, water and snacks. Classic cars can get very loud, so anyone sensitive to extreme noises should also pack ear plugs. The event takes place on Woodward Avenue, which spans nine cities and is revered as the "Main Street of America" for car enthusiasts.

The parade runs northbound along the entire course of Woodward Ave. from Ferndale to Pontiac. Those not participating in the parade are asked to avoid the right two lanes near the curbs. They come out to cruise Woodward every year for the Dream Cruise with this '46 Chevy truck. We love to see all the great family moments happening along the avenue today. During the Woodward Dream Cruise, the SMART Shuttle will be free for everyone who wants to ride. People can catch a ride at any of the SMART RED or FAST bus stops from Eight Mile Road to Pontiac.

At M1 Concourse, over 600 cars in 13 classes including  hot rods, race cars, muscle cars and cruisers will be on display and compete in exhibition competitions. This year, kids will get in free, live music is expected and there will be shaded seating for 1,000 guests. In addition, there will be a live reveal about noon of Mobsteel's Lincoln Coupe. Mobsteel is a design company that focuses on manufacturing automotive aftermarket products. We just spent the entire day in and around the Motor City enjoying the automotive sights and sounds of the Woodward Dream Cruise. And if you couldn't be there this year in person, perhaps our galleries from this year's festivities are the next best thing.

A team of amateur radio operators also serve as additional “eyes and ears” of law enforcement officials along the Cruise route. The Woodward Dream Cruise is an alcohol-free, family-oriented event. As public safety is paramount, cruisers are asked to obey all rules of the road.

Passengers can board at any RED SMART or FAST bus stops along Woodward. From noon to 7 p.m., live music will be performed in the arena next to the biergarten. Parking for this event can be found in one of six Birmingham parking structures; metered parking will also be  available.

Free SMART shuttle busses will run on Saturday from 9 a.m. On Woodward Avenue from 8 Mile Road to Downtown Pontiac. To ride, look out for RED SMART and FAST bus stops on Woodward Avenue. The Dream Cruise is free for both participants and fans. Spectators can watch anywhere along the parade route but be aware of businesses and private homes. There are all sorts of events throughout the weekend, starting Friday.

Many take place on Friday when the dream cruise officially kicks off. Car enthusiasts can enjoy some classic cars before the main event from noon to 7 p.m. DETROIT – On Saturday, get ready for a Michigan end-of-summer tradition. Tens of thousands of cars will ride down M-1 in a celebration of classic and muscle car culture.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is a spectacular experience to drive, or, merely watch and marvel from the sidelines. Public parking is available along or near the cruise route. SMART bus encourages passengers to plan ahead before their trips due to possible delays leading up to the cruise and the day of the event. Purchasing a ticket includes no charge on parking and shuttle, and a better view to see the cars up-close. It began as an effort by Nelson House plus a group of volunteers seeking to raise money for a soccer field in Ferndale. They also wanted to re-create the nostalgic era of the 1950s and '60s, with music and cars roaming down Woodward.

Street parking is another option but take note of time restrictions and costs to avoid tickets and/or towing. Busses will also run their normal routes, except for those on the parade route which will run on a detour. These busses will still pass by and stop in the communities along the parade route, but will avoid Woodward Avenue.

The Performance Park Classic Car Show will continue from 8 a.m. Mustang Alley will take place with Ford Motor Co. from 10 a.m. With the entrance starting at Hilton Road at  East Nine Mile Road. Pre-registration is closed but vehicles not pre-registered can enter at about 10 a.m.
